The Way Indian Media Interpret News

I am fed up of these 24X7 news channels in India. They make a mole out of nothing. Some of the correspondents who have got a good command over language and don’t know the basics of politics or current affairs give analysis of the political stories happening. With the command they have in the language they know how to “create” stories of their liking – they can easily show a rat and present to the audience as a tiger and show that every five minutes interval and I am sure there will be a few of the viewers that may get convinced by that.
This is the top news in NDTV today - “Karunanidhi blames Center for Kanimozhi arrest”. With this title you may expect that Kalaignar has blamed Center in explicit terms for Kanimozhi’s arrest. In the 250 word text that follows this title there are only 30 words quote of Karunanidhi’s speech in which he says (supposedly) “Kanimozhi had travelled from one place to another for campaigning. She worked hard for DMK's victory...she's in prison either because of the Centre's order or indifference or some other reason”. How can such a statement be interpreted as “Karunanidhi blames Center for Kanimozhi arrest” and post that as one of the main news in the website?
I read the speech made by Karunanidhi in Tiruvarur in The Hindu newspaper and no reference of hatred towards Center is seen. All those who spoke on that occasion including Karunanidhi came down heavily on state government. Now for NDTV and its anchors, they want some sensational piece of news and interpreting it in such a way helps them to make one.
This is just an example but these days, I have come across so many such news in almost all Indian news channels that I made it a point not to watch these channels anymore.

Our media, print or visual, do not report news. But they manufacture news.
