Selecting 10 best movies of a person with such a long career is extremely difficult. But even then, how can you possibly forget Meledathu Raghavan Nair?

I think it is better to expand the list to 20 otherwise it will be too much of an injustice to many other movies.

I think Rajamanikyam and King need to be in the list because both of them are fantastic performances which probably has no preceding models. They are trendsetting performances. Although the dialogue delivery was the highlight of both of them, the body language he carries throughout the movie is par excellence.

I think Kazcha need not be in the list of even top 20. He did full justice to the role but the role did not demand anything extraordinary; underplaying with ease was demonstrated better by Mammootty in other movies like Kaiyoppu...

My list would certainly include the following movies:

* Bhoothakannadi
* Ambedkar
* Ore Kadal
* Avanazhi
* Dhruvam

Mrigaya, New Delhi (You think its not a mass movie, but a classic?), Sooryamanasam, King and Rajamanikkam doesnt deserve to be in the list.
I think Nirakkootu was a key movie in Mammooty's career. Avanazhi as well.
Although not great movies, Mammoty-Baby Shalini starers played a major role in building his career. So did Mammoty-Rahman (Rahman as his younger brother ofcourse and with a motorbike in the role his sidekick) & Mammoty-Baby Shalini-Rahman combination. They were all the rage at that time.
Many of them are better than New Delhi, King or Rajamanikkam. Ithiripoove Chuvannapoove (Bharathan) is an example.
