I don’t listen to music that much but her songs caught my imagination of late. The versatility with which she sings in languages she does not know is amazing. Her diction is perfect in any song she sings even when that song is not in the language she speaks. If it was any other singer one could easily understand that the singer is singing in a language he/she does not know.
Here is a compilation of Shreya Ghoshal’s songs from eight different languages.
The first one – the latest hit in Malayalam – the song “Anuraga Vilochithanayi” from the movie “Neelathamara”. Hearing this song no one can say that Shreya Ghoshal does not know Malayalam as her diction is so perfect.
Here is the song Jiv Dangla from Marathi film Jogwa that won Shreya Ghoshal the National Award for best playback singer for the year 2009.
Another song that won Shreya Ghoshal National Award for the year 2009 – Pherari Mon from movie Antaheen.
The first movie in which Shreya Ghoshal sung – Devadas and she got National Award for the best female playback singer for the same movie. Here is a song from that movie.
Shreya Ghoshal won the Tamil Nadu government best female playback singer in the year 2007 for the song Munbe Va from the movie Silinu Oru Kathal.
Shreya Ghoshal won the Andra Pradesh government best female playback singer in the year 2005 for the song Pillagaali Allari from the movie Athadu
In Kannada Shreya Ghoshal won the Filmfare Award for the song Ninna Nodalenthu from the movie Mussanjemaatu.
If Shreya Ghoshal can sing like this for few more years then she will definitely be the next Nightingale of India.

Nice compilation of songs!
Am sure she is one of the really talented singers and a boon to the movie industry!
Perfect rendition in Kannada/Tamil/Malayalam and every other language...
Can list a million songs - but her best in Kannada - Araluthiru (Mungaru Male), Male Ninthu (Milana) - try listening to them sometime...
I like the bengali one "phoreri man, and the punjabi one 'rabba' best.
She is really good and her voice seems to have matured after Devdas.
awesome compilation..was waitin 2 grab all at once ;) thnx now !!! ;)
She is my Love. Except hindi songs, I have not heard any of Shreya's songs in any other languages and I totally believe if I knew other languages and if I have heard her then her voice would be as perfect as in hindi songs. But I like almost all her hindi songs which I have heard till now and her sweet n cute voice(just as she looks) really touches my heart and I fell in love with her voice after listening to song "Agar Tum Mil Jao" from movie "Zeher" even before when I didn't know who is the singer of this song and I had not seen her on TV.
But after watching her on TV in reality shows, I totally gone mad in her love and presently I can't live without listening her songs atleast once and I have also watched her live performance at Great India Place, Noida, Sector-18 and I can't explain in words the way she has perfectly performed in LIVE performance as I believe that there must be soo many re-takes before recording the full songs for films but after watching her live performance, I believe Shreya can record the whole song in just one take.I still can't believe that she was just 5-7 steps away from me at Noida. That's my experience.
Yes Shreya has become the HEART THROB of India and also the NEXT NIGTINGALE after Lata Ji.
Love U Shreya n Keep up the good work!
Regards
Mohit

her malayalam pronounsation is so bad.she is not next nightingale in india.
Your pronunciation of Malayalam words is perfect and impeccable. Why don't you sing the female solos of yesteryears of Malayalam movies and make an album! It would be quite pleasant for all those who love your voice to hear the same. Wish you good health and keep going!
