The Quizzer in Dr Shashi Tharoor
I am dumbfound after seeing these videos. Dr Shashi Tharoor knowledge about the world is really amazing. What ever be the topic of the quiz, Dr Shashi Tharoor not only has the correct answer but also has the knowledge to explain in detail about the answer.
Dr Shashi Tharoor answers the final question and wins 10 lakhs rupees that he donated to the contestants who take stage after him.
Incredible performance, right? Great to have such a person in Indian politics…

Nice.. I just loved his video on Why nations should pursue "soft" power!!! Specially this incident about the impact of Bollywood and kyuki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi in Afghanistan!!
While the questions were of pretty average standard,which I guess most decent mallu quizzers will crack easily, what struck me was the that the format of the show is quite awful. The quizmaster GS Pradeep does not have a clue how to frame an interesting question. Basically he has mugged up a lot of facts and the show is just a self-promotion for him and no attempt has been made to make the quiz interesting, so he states a fact he thinks he knows completely and asks a "True" False" qn. He also gets several facts wrong such as "Franz" Ferdinand's name, mispronounces several words and agrees when Shashi Tharoor incorrectly states that Schweitzer's Nobel was in 62(it was actually in '52). Having said that, yes Tharoor's knowledge is far superior to any avg indian politician and even slightly better than an average well-read person ;-)
