World a Better Place without Terrorist Prabhakaran

Finally the news is confirmed – LTTE chief and one of the biggest terrorist the world has ever seen, Prabhakaran, is killed. For those who still believe Prabhakaran is alive see the video at the end of this post. Sri Lankan government released the photo of the bullet ridden body of this maniac. I was very happy to see the end of this notorious criminal. Prabhakaran and his terrorist organization have killed one of the most promising sons of India, Rajiv Gandhi who tried wholeheartedly to solve the Tamil issue. The news about the killing of Prabhakaran is coming at a time when the people of India have just voted Congress party headed by Rajiv Gandhi’s widow Sonia Gandhi back to power with an overwhelming majority. This week should have been double sweet for Congress President Sonia Gandhi – she led Congress back to power and now the death of the mastermind behind her husband’s assassination.

I still remember that night when Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated. Kerala had the parliament election on May 23rd and my father had election duty. He had to go early on May 22nd to report for election duty and hence we all slept early on May 21st. By around 2 am my mother woke me up and told me that she was woken up by a group of people shouting something about Rajiv Gandhi through the road. We could see lot of cars full of people going very fast through the road. It was almost 3 am and during that time of the day there was no TV or radio. My father called the local newspaper office and they confirmed the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. A gloom went over the entire news on hearing the news. The news was so hard for all of us to digest. Here is a former Prime Minister of India who dreamed and worked towards marching India towards 21st century being killed. It took more than a day for the news to sink inside me that Rajiv Gandhi is no more.

By afternoon it was clear that Tamil tigers were behind the assassination. As days passed by, the plot becomes clearer and clearer - LTTE gruesomely assassinated Rajiv Gandhi. The irony is that if any Indian has sincerely tried to solve Tamil issue it was Rajiv Gandhi and the psychopath Prabhakaran targeted the same person who really tried to solve the Tamil issue.

From that day I realized LTTE was behind the assassination of India’s beloved son Rajiv Gandhi I had a dream. Waking up a day and reading the news of the death of Prabhakaran and to see the photo of his dead body. That dream came true this day thanks to the heroic efforts of the Sri Lankan army and their President Mahinda Rajapaksa. The anger and sorrow I felt on May 22nd early morning on 1991 hearing Rajiv’s assassination was replaced by a sense of happiness on reading Prabhakaran’s death.

The world will definitely be a better place to live without this evil named Prabhakaran. Here is a video that shows the dead body of Prabhakaran – the solid proof that this criminal is no more.

People say , even if its an enemy, we shouldn't feel happy at anyone's death. But I can't help bursting crackers and smiling when guys like this meet their end.

One man's saviour is another mans terrorist. Prabhakaran became terrorist thru a genuine cause.the ill treatment of Tamils in Srilanka. unfortunately he took it to an extreme. Most modern day causes (PLO, Ltte, Kashmir,Maoism etc.) have some root cause - of opression and humiliation. The story is the same everywhere. Perhaps the only one without any genuine root cause is Islamic terrorism.

Rajiv Gandhi, the promising ex-pilot, heir to the throne Indian son of the Prime Ministerial family, famously was beloved by the Sikhs. Yes, they truly showed him. Look at their power.

Also, he was famously loved in his bungling political moves, wherein his army went and killed several thousands of Tamil civilians in Srilanka.

Your hero, another's terrorist; and vice versa. That's the difference between Rajiv Gandhi and Prabakaran. Rajiv Gandhi, to millions of unspoken, is a terrorist.

Let it be, for your crowd that clap for Rang de Basantis'; are the real ignorant criminals of not just India, but society as a whole.

What goes around, comes around. And massacre-prone Nehru-Gandhi family has repeatedly been examples of this adage. It is sad, that innocent people are the ones who suffer, from the curse of this families rule.

And in the end, the island of Srilanka shows India the finger. I do marvel at their political strength!:-)

Very simplistic analysis.

Like your dream of waking up to the news of Prabhakaran's death, Thanu also must have had a dream - to destroy the person she thought was responsible for the destruction of her family. The only difference between you and her is that she did something about it.

Both analysis - yours and hers - are simplistic and flawed.

Peace,

"Here is a video that shows the dead body of Prabhakaran – the solid proof that this criminal is no more."

Just a few notes. Take a look at all the photos and videos released by the Sri-Lankan Government of the body and face of Prabhakaran. What is most striking, even to someone with half a brain, is the vast difference in features and structures of the faces/bodies in all the photos and videos. If you ask someone who has never seen Prabhakaran to take a look at the photos and videos and ask him what he thinks, he will surely come out and say that they depict more than one person. One has to wonder why the Sri-Lankan Government was in such a hurry to burn the body. Then ofcourse, is the different accounts of how he died. Just yesterday a new account came out as to how he surrendered, was tortured, and then killed. Prabhakaran surrendering, yeah right!! Prabhakaran was confirmed dead back in 1987 only to reappear 2 years later. Give it some time, and soon your dream will be intruded upon by a nightmare.
