Vijayakumar,
Welcome back. We meet always during the election time starting 2004 elections, right?
Are you serious? I don't think this kind of result is never going to happen.
Yes, Sony we always meet here during election times. Still I am in WI.
I was in Kerala 2 days after elections...and my predictions are based on the interactions with lots of people from all political circles.....I believe that NOT the issues decide the victory, it is the number of votes polled which will really decide the winning side. UDF was not active at bottom (base) level in several places and voting from their side and the enthuciasm was at a very low level...I predict 13-16 seats to LDF and 4-7 seats for UDF. This can be true if BJP secure maximum number of votes for themselves...otherwise UDF will get more seats. BJP was not active on polling day in several places...If they do not get their votes, those will go to UDF and they will get more seats...(THIS IS THE ONLY POINT NOT FAVORING LDF AT THIS POINT, not any other political issues). The situation for LDF wa worse than this in 2004 and all predicted only 5 seats to them...but we know what happened!

Vijayakumar,
You are not considering the most important factor - discontent of the ordinary people against the communist party. That alone will give UDF a majority this time. let us wait for another 16 hours.
Vijayakumar,
Any views about the result?
The people has given a clear verdict to the corrupt LDF Govt.
The commie friends are not available for comments anywhere in blogspace..:(
Are they all fine?
I accept that it is a clear verdict against CPIM & Leftist parties not only in Kerala, but in other places also. West Bengal made history by winning of TMC and INC....congrats for the winners, especially Mr. Tharoor. We can expect 2 Cabinet ministers (Mr. Tharoor & Mr. Ravi) and 3 State Ministers (Mr. Ahmed, Mr. Ramachandran and Mr. KV Thomas) in the new UPA Ministry.....we all are waitinf for their work and the developmental plans for Kerala from UPA....Defeat in Kollam, Vadagara, Kannur and Calicut are very big blows for CPIM. At the same time the big voctories of UDF in Malappuram, TVPM, Wayanad, Pathanamthitta add colors to UDF's landside victory. ..........History never ends, it will be repeated!!
- JK VIjayakumar, Kollam
With reference to my post on May 14th, please see the difference in Vote percentage of BJP in Kerala. In 2004 thay had 12.11% and in 2009 they could secure only 6.01%. There is a clear difference of 6%. This time UDF has 47.84 (38.36 in 2004) and LDF has 42.01 (46.18 in 2004). It clearly shows that BJP votes helped UDF to get BIG victory in Kerala, in addition to all other anti-LEFT issues.
