More Campaign Videos from Congress and BJP

Few weeks back Congress brought the exclusive rights for the "Jai Ho" video and using that produced three videos to portray achievements of the present UPA government and the contribution of the Congress party to India's development.

Now Congress has come up with three more videos all directed by Priyadarshan. The first one is titled "Aam Aadmi Ke Badhte Kadam". Here are the lyrics in Hindi and its English translation.

Dher kadam ham sabke kadam, aam aadmi ke badte kadam , har kadam par bharat bulund (All our steps put together makes a big step. The common man’s progress strengthens India). Aaj karz sa aazaadi hai, kheton mein apne hariyali hai….( there is redemption of debt today and there is greenery in the fields. Every child is studying and keeping his head held high, every village and hamlet is advancing with the strength of the Hand. The strength of the nation lies in the progress of common man. There is employment in every household and there is confidence. Prosperity has increased and every body has rights. The closed doors have opened with the company of Hand. Being with the Congress Common man has progressed. They have to progress further to reach the goal. The strength of the nation lies in the progress of common man.

The second and third one are titled "Congress Heritage Film”.

In the first of the Congress Heritage Film the lyrics and translation goes something like this - Arre beta zara haath to lagaana, haath itne bade gaadi ko,mazaak kar rahe ho chacha (when the ditty asks the children to lend a hand to push his vehicle, the children ask him whether he is joking). Chalo sunaye aaj tumhe is haath ki karaamath yeh haath nibhaye, saath banaaye, baath badle haalaath ….(Then he explains the creativity of the hand. he says the hand is purposeful, keeps company, changes the lot .This is the hand of the Congress and the nation’s hand. In 1947, the tricolour flag was hoisted and the entire nation walked holding Gandhiji’s hand. Constitution of India was written and a new beginning was made. The tradition of Zaminadari(landlordism) was banished and panchayath raj and green revolution with the slogan Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan echoes everywhere, on which India is proud of. Nationalisation of banks and the slogan of Garibi Hatao was given and then followed the dreams of Space and nuclear power. Hence this hand knows how to run the country, therefore be with the hand. In the second one it talks about the contributions of Congress party since Rajiv Gandhi came to power. Here is the lyrics and translation of the song

Dekho chahcha haath ka kamaal, is haath ne to poore bharat ko udne ko sikhaya hai (The ditty explains the wonderful doings of the hand, that it has taught the entire India to fly.) Chalo sunaye aaj tumhe is haath ki karaamath yeh haath nibhaye, saath banaaye, baath badle haalaath ….(Then he explains the creativity of the hand. he says the hand is purposeful, keeps company, changes the lot .This is the hand of the Congress and the nation’s hand. The new picture of India was made by the hand of Rajiv , the telephone network was spread and heart to heart communication was made possible. The revolution of Computers resulted in writing of a new history. Youth were given voting rights , women’s rights were strengthened , nuclear treaty was solemnized and the whole world was enlightened with energy. employment was given to the villagers and people were given support. The Tricolour was hoisted on the moon, the friendship of the world increased, India’s strength overflowed showing its unique position. BJP is not behind in releasing videos and has come out with a video mocking Congress "Jai Ho" with "Bhay Ho". The lyrics and its translation.

‘Aaja aaja voter is jhanse ke tale, aaja aaja jhoote moothe vade ke tale … Bhay ho bhook ho.’ (beckoning the voter, the ditty asks him to take shelter under false promises and then says let fear spread, let hunger spread).

‘Ratti ratti sachi hamne jaan ganvai, bhooke pet jaag jaag raat bitayi, mandi ki maar mein naukri ganva di, gin gin vade hamne jindagi bita di, mandi ho, atank ho, mahangai ho, bhay ho, phir bhi jai ho …’ (We lost lives through dark terrible nights, we have kept awake with empty stomachs, the economic slowdown has taken away our jobs, we have spent a lifetime counting false promises, let there be a slowdown, let terrorism flourish, let prices rise, let fear spread, even then we will say, victory is ours)
