Meet the political comedians of Kerala

Want to see some real comedy? Here it is. Listen to the top leaders of Kerala communist party. They make us laugh more than Jagathy or any other Malayalam movie comedian.

CPI(M) was always known as a party of disciplined cadres. Those who are following Kerala politics now know well that discipline has become a thing of the past. The last state party congress held in Kottayam few days ago ended in street fight. Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI-M state secretary, has to accept that most of the party cadres in the function are drunk. See the sorry state of CPI-M in Kerala.

Now the greatest comedian Kerala politics has ever seen – Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandhan. About 10 infants died in a government hospital due to contamination in the operation theatre and hear the reply of our chief Minister. What other reply can you expect if a primary school drop out is made the Chief Minister of Kerala. At least let us have a good laugh at this comedian.

Another specimen in Kerala politics trying hard to over take our Chief Minister in foolishness – Minister G Sudhakaran. A perfect example of how a “goonda” will behave if given political power? When will this guy learn political maturity?

Here is a another one - Food Minister Divakaran proclaiming to the people of Kerala to have 2 eggs, 1 glass of milk and chicken curry instead of rice daily. Where was his common sense when he made this speech? Of course if he had any common sense he would have never joined communist party, right?

Again another comedy scene enacted well by E P Jayarajan and VS Achuthanandan.

Even though I am an ardent fan of leader K Karunakaran for what all he has done for the state as an administrator I consider the last few years of his political career as a political drama enacted to entertain all of us. Here is a video clip from one of the numerous drama between father-son duo.

Now see the video below. The opposition leader and great entertainer cum comedian V S Achuthanandhan talking about Leela group illegally occupying the government hotel in Kovalam. It is more than one year since our comedian VS took over as CM. This time when I went to India in January I went to Kovalam and still the hotel is owned by Leela. Why his words as opposition leader never went into action as CM?

Why do they do this? – Since all of this drama is to be telecasted to people to win the award called Election!

So check your comments and mind your words when you sit in some ugly corner in a stupid and merciless country like USA.

Quote from your blog
“Of course if he had any common sense he would have never joined communist party, right?”

“Look at that Doctor. He is a fool. Almost all patients he treated either died or befallen critical state. He doesn’t have any commonsense. Of course if he had any common sense he would have never joined MBBS, right?

If the answer is Right then I too agree with you in your argument.

Quote from your blog
“Want to see some real comedy? Here it is. Listen to the top leaders of Kerala communist party.”

Karunakaran and Murali doesn’t belong to Communist party. So your remarks should be” Listen to the top leaders of Kerala Political parties.”

But from all your blogs pertain to Politics, it is pretty clear that you are biased. And the clips of Murali is just an excuse 

“Branthalayam(House of mad)” is the word referred to Kerala by Swami Vivekananda before that state is been converted in to India’s most healthiest living standards and most literate State by great leaders like E.M.S. and A.K.G. So please keep their names in memory when you abuse Communist party. Please don’t forget their sacrifices.

Note: Branthalayam-Think about the social decline persisted at that time which made Swami Vivekananda use that word.

Quote
“What other reply can you expect if a primary school drop out is made the Chief Minister of Kerala.”

I am not here to support the Chief Minister. But don’t be in an illusion that knowledge can be gained only from schools and universities. Albert Einstein had been left behind in Munich to finish high school. Rather than completing high school, Albert decided to apply directly to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Without a school certificate, he was required to take an entrance examination, which he did not pass, but it was in that same year, at age 16, that he first performed his famous thought experiment, visualizing traveling alongside a beam of light.

“stupid and merciless country like USA” – this speaks a ton about you how ignorant you are about the facts.

Please don’t comment without seeing the entire blog. I may be liking Karuankaran but I have the guts to say that he is wrong when he does something wrong. I have already mentioned in one of my previous post that I don’t agree or support what he did in recent years. I have videos of Karunakaran also in this post. Just watch this and comment.

“Moreover, you have no clue about whats going on here other than what you see on asiaet, indiavision and kairali...”
Can you please enlighten me with the clues you have other than watching TV and reading newspaper?

VJ,
There are lot of morons like this and that is why parties like communist party can come to power.

Praveen
I don’t know how you came up with such a comparison of doctors. My argument is that if you have some commonsense why do you still follow an ideologue that has been thrown out from the entire world except few countries like China, Cuba and North Korea (of course by force and people in these countries have no choice).

Now why I wrote Kerala communist leaders – all the communist leaders except Pinnarayi Vijayan in this blog are those serving under oath. They should show more maturity. Every politician and political party play politics but once got mandate of the people and take oath under the Indian constitution they should show more political maturity. That was why I was focusing on Kerala communist leaders.

I remember few of the great strikes led by communists- strike against introduction of computers, strike against more engineering colleges, strike against Pre Degree board and then implement it in the name of Plus Two. List goes on and on…

Einstein may be a school drop out. He in his later stage of his life shown maturity of a scientist. That is what is lacking in Achuthanandan. When he gets a responsible position one should show the political maturity but VS clearly lacks that. Some of the statement he makes clearly shows us the lack of understanding of the subject. I don’t think Einstein never had such a problem even though he was a school drop out.

Brijesh..I have one thing to say. Your jingoism is making you blind- to the extent that you are a very sorry figure now when you talk abt politics- as they say love is blind!!.
Here is a critique for you and others reading this blog.
1)Ask anyone in the older generation -Everyone knows that KSU/Congress are the drunkards and who dip into election fund to get drunk. The reason why such news came into the media is that this is a new occurence in communist party. In congress or any other party this is not there. Communists were known for discipline at cadre level. Now things are no doubt changing.
2) VS is my opinion is one of the best CM's kerala has seen. Oru Phd undennu paranju schooil pokathavare puchikkale- This is the one of the problems of Indian mindset. Do you know why he didnt go to school- because his circumstances at home (poverty and need to support himself -allathe ozhappi nadannathukondalla) -please read his biography in wikipedia. Pls give more respect to your current CM however he is-(even Bill Clinton calls Bush my president) - he is an elected rep of the people.
3)everyone knows who is the greatest comedian in Kerala politics. To judge that you need to see the mood of the audience when mimicry artists present various politicians.
4)VS I believe has kept more election promises than any CM's I can remember from my limited exp./mem.
5) Communists particularly CPI(M) and CPI has its own problems. They are in transition now- that their ideology cannot standup to real world and they are slowly transforming to Chinese/Bengal model. But at least they had some ideology which they firmly believed and tried to implement in the first place not like congress who is "pathi acha pathi kochacha" to put it colloquially.
6)Many land owners(particualrly Nairs and higher castes) are traditionally against CPI(M) because they lost land in the Land Reforms act of the 50s. I know many people who understandably harbour grudge for the land their grandfather lost in 50's. This is one of the greatest things Communists have done. If Kerala is advanced (social equality- where the landless and lower castes live with dignity) it is primarily due to them. If you go to some areas in India particulary some areas of AP, N.India etc. where feudal system still exists - you will see the appaling poverty and desperation of the tenants- their women cannot keep their dignity even in this age. Some of the films like Adoor's Vidheyan and MT's panchagani show some of the effects o where in Kerala does fuedal system and indentured labour exist.Of course this has been pushed to other extent of militant trade unionism now. But you know what- I wud any day suffer that than see indentured labour or some poor women folk who cannot keep their dignity - this is very real in N.India even now if you have talked to people who have lived in such areas(kerala was the in the 19th century the peak of that- thats why Swami Vivekananda made that comment.).there are of course other factors which contributed like Christian missionary schools etc. and benevolent kings etc. but thats not relevant here.

5)I really admire you for publishing comments adverse to you and for putting your real name and details in here. Not like some bloggers who claim they are not anon and then not using their real name or any whereabouts.

6) I seriously suggest you develop more balanced view rather than jingoism which will lead to thimiram..manjapitham pidichalal ellam manja ayitte kanu.

A generation is growing up in Kerala how have no idea of our State's history or its social evolution. It is dangerous - those who dont know history will repeat it!

Hi Brijesh, Excellent compilation of videos. And I like the heading too "political comedians of Kerala"
You know when you openly take a stand saying you like one leader and publish anything about the opposition, you are bound to get comments from hard core fans of the opposition. Athokke oru cheviyil koode kettu matte cheviyil koode kalayanam ! There are funny politicians like this who make a big fool of themselves in every part of the world ..think of Al Gore when he was the Vice President of the US.
Lack of education may not be the reason but may be a lack of common sense. Ofcourse they may believe in some high idealogies that brough them to the position they are in currently, but doesnt mean that they have enough vachakachaathuryam or common sense to know when to say what. Or may be it is because they even think now that they have achieved the highest position, naakkinu ellillo appo ini enthum parayaam enna attitude.
Good blog, keep them coming.

Good compilation Doctor!

these guys are giving some serious competition to Tom & Jerry cartoons and Rajanikanth gimmics, only difference being that the latter ones are intended to be funny. Karuji and Achumama takes the cake, no doubt, and imagine our channels, mamicry artists and cartoonists without these jokers!

They dont know what they are doing and has no clue about what they are speaking...

Kerala suffers, eventually.

brij, reading the comments from the readers affirms that the minority fundamental groups are not the most intolerable group in India...
Indian history confirms the group always had a stand of anti-India view.. and it continuous....

i admire karaunakaran who dared to amend his previous mistake at this hour..

What arrogance? My friend, your mediocrity is quite evident in this post of yours. This describes the your notion about the world to me.Education for the sake of "qualification" can only make a dumb ass with a tag attached. Being educated is much more than that dear. It is the ability of a person to look at the world and from a perspective, assimilate ideas and put into action. I wonder how many Bachelors/Masters/Doctors are in our nation are in reality educated. And was it the law degree that made Mohandas Karamchand Mahatma Gandhi as we know today....
